ECAMEX is one of Maharashtra's premier exhibitions for the electrical and renewable energy industry, bringing together manufacturers, contractors, suppliers, distributors, consultants, and thousands of industry professionals under one roof.

For ECAMEX 2026, the organizers wanted more than a traditional exhibition. Their vision was to create a digitally connected event where exhibitors, visitors, and organizers could interact through a seamless technology ecosystem.

To bring this vision to life, ECAM partnered with n-Gauge as its end-to-end exhibition management solutions technology partner.

Rather than implementing individual software modules from different vendors, n-Gauge delivered a fully integrated platform that managed the complete exhibition lifecycle—from exhibitor onboarding and stall booking to visitor registration, onsite operations, engagement, networking.

The Challenge

Managing a large exhibition involves much more than event registrations and badge printing.

The ECAMEX organizing committee needed a solution that could simplify complex exhibition workflows while enhancing the experience for every stakeholder.

Some of the key challenges included:

• Managing exhibitor registrations, stall bookings, billing, and documentation from a single platform.

• Creating an intuitive event website and event mobile application for visitors and exhibitors.

• Providing fast online and onsite visitor registration with instant badge printing.

• Ensuring registration operations continued even during internet disruptions.

• Increasing visitor engagement and encouraging attendees to explore every exhibitor booth.

• Providing exhibitors with a professional lead retrieval solution called Connect 360, instead of relying on visiting cards.

Since this was one of the largest digital initiatives undertaken for ECAMEX, the organizers also required a technology partner capable of responding quickly to evolving operational requirements throughout the project.

Modern Event Website Built for Simplicity

The official ECAMEX website became the central information hub for the exhibition.

Designed with simplicity and ease of navigation in mind, the website enabled visitors and exhibitors to quickly access event information, registration links, schedules, exhibitor details, and important updates.

One organizer described the experience perfectly:

Simplified Exhibitor Management 

Managing hundreds of exhibitors manually often leads to delays, confusion, and administrative overhead.

The ECAMEX Event Mobile App served both visitors and exhibitors through dedicated user experiences on Android and iOS.

The app enabled visitors to easily navigate the exhibition while helping exhibitors connect with attendees more effectively.

More importantly, the event mobile application became the foundation for one of ECAMEX 2026's most successful initiatives—the ECAMEX Rewards programme.

Event Visitor Engagement with ECAMEX Rewards

One of the most innovative features introduced during ECAMEX 2026 was the ECAMEX Rewards programme.

The objective was simple:

• Encourage visitors to explore more exhibitor booths while creating additional value for exhibitors.

• Every participating exhibitor displayed a unique QR code at their booth.

Visitors could:

• Download the ECAMEX Mobile App

• Register and log in

• Visit exhibitor booths

• Scan booth QR codes

• Increase their chances of winning exciting prizes 

This simple gamification strategy transformed visitor behaviour.

Instead of visiting only a handful of stalls, attendees were encouraged to explore the exhibition floor more thoroughly, increasing visibility for exhibitors across the event.

This helped in event to increase visitor engagement through event mobile app.

As ECAM President Devang Thakur shared:

Connect 360: Lead Capturing Feature for Exhibitors

Collecting visitor information using business cards or manual registers is inefficient and often results in lost opportunities.

To solve this challenge, n-Gauge integrated its Connect 360 lead capturing solution into ECAMEX 2026.

Participating exhibitors could simply scan visitor badges using the mobile application.

Each scan automatically captured visitor details, allowing exhibitors to build a digital database of qualified leads.

All contacts could be uploaded online and later downloaded through the exhibitor backend. This significantly simplifying lead management and eliminating manual data entry.

Online & Onsite Event Registration System

Fast visitor registration is one of the most critical aspects of any exhibition.

Long queues at registration counters often create a poor first impression.

To ensure smooth visitor entry, n-Gauge implemented an integrated visitor registration system supporting:

Visitors who registered online could quickly receive their printed badges for QR scanning check-in.

Registration That Doesn't Stop When the Internet Does

Rather than treating a stable venue connection as a given, n-Gauge built a dedicated offline registration mode as a deliberate backup plan. Staff at the registration desk could look up a visitor or exhibitor's pre-registered details and print their badge immediately, with or without a live connection — and once internet was available again, all offline entries synced automatically to the central system. This meant registration desks never had to tell a waiting visitor to "come back once the connection is up." 

The organizers particularly appreciated this level of preparedness and onsite support.

Beyond Software: Supporting the Event Brand

n-Gauge's contribution extended beyond software implementation.
